Also the park has a homage to the Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt and the Basement of the Manor house has been converted to have exacting hieroglyphics and paintings found in some of Egypt’s most famous discovered tombs. These can all be translated if you follow the hieroglyphic alphabet chart that is on the wall. An atmospheric and educational experience for any budding archaeologists. They even went to the extent of excavating the tomb of one of the Pharaohs it was even moved to Combe Martin and below the Manor . . . in fact some children have seen the Pharaoh awaken . . . but don’t worry the person in the bandage’s is alive . . . at least we think they are !
